Items needed:

  • 2 pounds lean ground round
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 3 - 16 ounce cans stewed tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 – 10 ounce cans rotel diced tomatoes and chilies
  • 4 – 16 ounce cans chili beans, undrained
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

 

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef in cast iron skillet, stirring to breaking into small pieces
  2. Remove meat and drain off excess oil
  3. Pour meat into pot
  4. Add all other items and mix well
  5. Simmer over low heat for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally
  6. Serve with grated cheddar cheese
  7. For bolder taster, add 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper chili powder
