Bayou Classic

Items needed:

  • Shrimp
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 tsp. white pepper
  • 1 ½ cups cornmeal

Directions:

  1. Mix cornmeal and eggs
  2. Place shrimp into this mixture
  3. Mix flour, seasonings, and cornmeal
  4. Place shrimp into flour mixture until well coated
  5. Heat oil to 365 F, and place shrimp in your Bayou Classic pot and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
