Fried Corn on the Cob:

Items needed:

  • 1/2 cup Creole or yellow mustard
  • 1qt oil for frying
  • 4 cups corn meal
  • 6 mini ears of corn, fresh or frozen
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

 

Directions:

  1. Heat oil to 400 F
  2. Roll corn in mustard until coated
  3. In a separate bowl mix corn meal with salt and pepper until blended
  4. Roll coated corn in the dry mix until completely coated around the kernels and sides
  5. Fry in hot oil until coating is golden brown
  6. Drain on paper towels
