- 30-40 fresh and large strawberries
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups of beer
- 5 egg whites
- cream of tartar
- cooking oil (Peanut)
- powdered sugar

Directions:
- Wash, dry and hull strawberries
- Heat oil to 375 F
- In a bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and 1/4 tsp. of sugar and salt
- Add 1 1/2 cup of beer and beat the mixture until smooth
- In another bowl beat 5 egg whites with a pinch of cream of tartar stiff
- Fold egg whites into beer batter gently, but thoroughly
- Dip strawberries into batter and fry a few at a time, (1-2 minutes or until golden brown)
- Drain on a plate lined with paper towels
- Roll strawberries in powdered sugar
- Also good served on top custard sauce that can be found in most grocery stores
